Horizon School - a special needs school Horizon is a former Livingston elementary school that has been renovated to make it entirely accessible for children with developmental disabilities and severe medical challenges.
Kindergarten Rooms
Our therapeutic kindergarten rooms were designed to promote independence in all areas of daily living. Each classroom consists of work centers to address academic and developmental skills. Features include a therapeutic treehouse, vision therapy center and sensory integration center.
Aquatic Therapy Pool

Adapted Play Park
Students love to spend time in the 2,500sf park, complete with accessible playground equipment, sensory garden, greenhouse, gazebo and water play area.
Vision Room
A unique treatment room dedicated to working with students on vision training. Illuminated equipment is used to promote visual attention, occulumotor skills and higher visual perceptual skills.
Sensory Integration Gym
The specialized therapeutic equipment promotes appropriate modulation, discrimination, coordination and organization of incoming sensory information received from the body and environment in order to produce adaptive and purposeful responses.
Center for Literacy & Volunteerism
This is a library for the 21st century, with everything from bookcases, faux fireplace and sofas to green-screen technology and it’s fully staffed by a team of volunteers.
Student Medical Center
Our spacious new medical center provides a soothing environment to assist students with all their medical needs.
