This week in JUMPSTART! (Early Intervention Therapeutic Play Group) our pint-sized guests practiced stretching, strengthening, and balance in a clam and relaxing yoga session lead by horizon therapists. Child yoga helps to build a sense of body awareness that all movements are a series of coordinated efforts between bones, joints, and muscles. It also aides digestion and can even improve sleeping habits. If you are interested in being put on the waiting list for our fall session of JUMPSTART!, please contact Hetty Kintiroglou at (973) 740 2353 ext. 2140 or via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Fifteen stunning pieces of artwork from Horizon Elementary School’s volunteer-led “Different Strokes“ art program were featured in a special exhibition at the Morris Museum this weekend. Horizon students got the opportunity to visit the museum to admire their jaw-dropping gallery exhibit. We are so proud of our students and the CPNJ volunteers who have made our “Different Strokes” art program possible.
