At CPNJ’s Horizon Schools choice-making is frequently used to allow students to express their preferences, and have more control over their environment. Here we see one-on-one aide Blanca giving Horizon preschool student Danylo a choice between two decorative balls while crafting a t-shirt for a class project.
The Horizon High School Computer Center is a state of the art facility, complete with 12 ADA accessible computers with touch screen monitors on swing arms to make them the perfect height and distance for all individuals. To further help with the various computer needs of our students, Horizon High utilizes numerous adapted technologies. Here we see Horizon High School student Conrad using his adapted “joy stick” mouse to help him navigate his computer with ease.
