Students from Pillar Schools hosted their second annual First Responders Appreciation Brunch at Pillar High School on February 18th. Members of the Livingston police department, fire department and EMTs were treated to a sumptuous breakfast with students. Our guests were also treated to a salutatory speech from Pillar High School Student Alexandra, as well as a performance from Pillar High’s chorus. Livingston Mayor Rudy Fernandez and Township Council members Al Anthony and Michael Vieira turned out to lend their support and express their appreciation for the first responders.
Yesterday, Pillar volunteers worked alongside our Pillar Elementary students to create an amazing, water-activated, lily pad art project. Volunteers provided support as our students crafted folded flower creations, which sprung to life once they were placed in a container of water. Our students loved the dynamic nature of the project! Special thanks to our outstanding volunteers.
