School & Agency News

Employees of Citrin Cooperman volunteered at our Horizon Elementary School this week and created a range of fun Grease-themed activities for our students. Volunteers assisted students as they created decorative ice cream cones at a sensory station as well as built and raced muscle cars against fellow classmates. Some students even received luxurious manicures, complete with tall hair rollers, at the salon station. Special thanks to all of our friends at Citrin Cooperman for creating a fun-filled day for Horizon students!

Horizon High School held its annual Wheelin’ – n’ – Walkin’ Challenge fundraiser today. Students, staff, volunteers, and families gathered to walk the concourse of Horizon High. Thanks go out to all who donated, participated and orchestrated this fantastic event! This year, the walk raised over $69,000 for Horizon High School’s annual fund. We would like to extend our most heartfelt gratitude to our top fundraisers: Bob Murray (over $15,000), The Halkyard Family (over $11,000) and the Machemer family (over $6,000). We would also like to congratulate the event committee (Janet Pereira-Spain, Katie Regan, Ted Groh, Beth Ann Rueter, Ken Brucato, Laura Vesuvio, Laura Maresciallo, Jennymond Sawyer, Jennifer McClean)! Cheers to another fantastic year!
