School & Agency News

Please join us for Horizon High School’s presentation of “Snow” an African version of the classic Snow White tale, on May 21st, 22nd or 23rd at 10:00am at the school (71-77 Okner Parkway in Livingston). The show features costumes, backgrounds and props created by Director Oscar Lozano and his students and, of course, the stellar performances of our Horizon High School stars.

Earlier this month Horizon School staff Trish O’Connor, Lisa Diorio, and Rachel Goldman, along with former principal and current member of the CPNJ Board of Trustees Bette Hanauer, traveled to Jefferson Elementary School to promote the understanding and acceptance of children with disabilities. They ran four stations that gave students of Jefferson the opportunity to experience the challenges and obstacles that children with disabilities face. Each station simulated a different disability, and the students got a chance to do everyday tasks with that particular disability. The students had a lot of fun, but also developed a new understanding of children with special needs!
