Seton Hall University’s Division of Volunteer Efforts began sending weekly volunteers to support the Horizon School library’s Modern Mother Goose program. Each week a new nursery rhyme or fairy tale is introduced to the preschool class. Volunteers helped the students to make Old King Cole crowns. We also heard the story of Jack and the Beanstalk. When the preschoolers planted their magic beans the beanstalk grew right before their eyes!
Horizon High School students took a community therapy trip to Trader Joes. The students are working with their occupational therapists on recognizing community signs, safely navigating in the community, locating items, purchasing items, and navigating around the store.
