Students from Golda Och Academy volunteered at Horizon High School this week. The group worked together to make decorative fans to share with their fellow classmates. Thanks to our volunteers for a wonderful event!
Shadow the therapy dog stopped by Horizon Elementary School earlier this week. Students got the chance to play with her, and pet her soft coat. Pet therapy, or Animal-Assisted therapy, has been clinically proven to promote calmness and even reduce blood pressure in those receiving care. This can help to alleviate pain, reduce stress, and improve one’s overall psychological state.
